In most cases life insurance companies require a medical exam as part of the underwriting process. The medical exam is done in order to properly come up with the Health Category of the applicant, and thus the applicable premium. Some companies, however, in response to market demand, do offer no-medical exam life insurance policies. If you are considering, for whatever reason, life insurance without medical exam, you should know that these policies tend to cost more and also offer less coverage. When you apply for life insurance without medical exam, you will be asked by the insurance company to complete a health questionnaire. In most cases, if you answer “YES” to any of the health questions in the health questionnaire, you will not qualify for the policy.

For a sample health questionnaire you will find in most no-medical exam applications, click HERE.

If you are healthy and not in a rush to get the policy ASAP, you should go for the fully underwritten policy (which includes a medical exam). The medical exam allows the insurance company to fully evaluate the risk and thus offer the most competitive premium possible that matches the risk.

While we are on the subject, less talk briefly about the medical exam. It does not cost anything to the applicant (the insurance company pays for it) and it is done at the time and place of choice of the applicant. It will include one or more of the following: urine sample; blood sample; blood pressure measurement; height and weight measurement; pulse measurement; resting (not on a tread mill) EKG. Taking the medical exam does not commit you to buy the policy and, in most cases, you do, upon request, get the results of the medical exam regardless of whether or not you buy the policy.

Whether it is a no-medical insurance or a fully underwritten policy, we can help you find the best and most affordable policy that meets your specific requirements and needs. You may contact us by either calling our Toll Free Number 888-950-8376; or click CONTACT US and provide your contact information; or, email us at info@insuranceglobe.net.

Term life insurance is the least expensive life insurance you can buy if you are looking for protection for a specific number of years. AGE, SEX and whether the applicant is a SMOKER are three of the most clearly determinable factors affecting the premium. Meaning, the older you are, the most expensive the policy will be; for smokers life insurance is also more costly. Most life insurance companies have 4 underwriting classes, namely, PREFERRED PLUS, PREFERRED, STANDARD PLUS AND STANDARD. PREFERRED PLUS results in the least expensive premium and then it goes up through STANDARD. The factors that the underwriting department of the life insurance company takes in consideration, besides AGE, SEX and TOBACCO USE in order to arrive at a Health Rate, are: a) family medical history; b) blood pressure; c) health history; c) cholesterol level; d) alcohol/substance abuse; e) driving history; f) leisure activities such as biking, or diving, or piloting airplanes, etc.; and g) others.

The heading “TERM TO PERM”, of course, refers to whether one should purchase term life insurance or permanent life insurance. The answer, as you might expect, is “it depends”. If you are looking for life insurance and cannot afford permanent life insurance, then you need to consider term life insurance. The one topic this article addresses is that when selecting term life insurance, you need to be aware that, among other factors affecting your decision, there is a “BASIC” type of life insurance that offers only life insurance protection for a set time period, such as 10, 20, 30 years, and that in some limited cases may be convertible to just one type of a permanent life policy of the same insurance company issuing the term policy. Then there is a “PLUS” type term life policy that allows the holder to convert to any of the permanent, or whole life, policies of the policy issuer. The PLUS policy costs more but the applicant should consider whether it is worth to pay a few extra bucks in order to get a product with a more extensive conversion option. And why should the convertible product be considered? On conversion the new premium is calculated on the applicant’s age at the time of conversion, but, and this is important, at the original underwriting class. This means that if the applicant was PREFERRED BEST initially, the conversion is calculated using the same Health Category of PREFERRED BEST, regardless of the health situation of the applicant at the time of conversion. In addition, there are policies that will apply a conversion credit when policyholders convert their term life insurance policies. In some cases the conversion credit is the entire cumulative premium for the first 3 or 5 years of the policy. If you are interested to explore converting an existing term policy to a permanent policy, or would like to evaluate obtaining a term policy with conversion options, please, give us a call at our Toll Free Number (888) 950-8376, or click on Contact Us, forward your request and one of our licensed agent will contact you ASAP!

Final expense insurance can help minimize the emotional and financial burden a loss could have on a family. A funeral can cost $10,000 or more. Social Security benefits pay only $255 to qualified dependents. The majority of U. S. health care costs rise in the final phase of life, when an eventually fatal chronic illness causes intense medical costs. Final Expense life insurance, also referred to as Burial Insurance, provides peace of mind and funds when they are needed the most. Since the policy is a whole life policy, premium costs do not increase and, as long as premiums are paid as due and on time, do not expire either. Typically, medical exams are not required. The applicant needs only to answer about a dozen health questions to find out if he/she qualifies. Depending on qualification standards, the benefits may be, a) LEVEL, with full benefits paid immediately; or b) Graded, with benefits paid over a 2 or 3 year period. Premiums are calculated depending on current underwriting standards which take in consideration health, age, male/female, smoking habits, etc. For instance, at present a fairly healthy 80 years old female, non-smoker and able to answer NO to all the questions in the life insurance application’s health questionnaire, may be able to qualify for up to $25,000 in life insurance with a monthly premium of $227.07; or for a $10,000 policy for $91.65. If you are a senior over 60, or 70, or even 80, and would like to inquire and find out if you qualify for final expense life insurance, please, contact us at:

One of our licensed and experienced agent will work with you to find the right life insurance for you. Life insurance is not a windfall.

If you are looking for a life insurance quote online, look no more. Visit our website at www.insuranceglobe.net and there you can obtain instant quotes for Term Life Insurance, Universal Life Insurance and Return of Premium Life Insurance. Once you have made a decision as to the face amount of the policy, the type, the term and the premium you can afford, click on Request an Application to start the process of filing an application with the insurance company you have selected. Or you may click on Request Free Evaluation, provide your specific information, click on Send, and one of our licensed agents will contact you with recommendations as to the best life insurance options for you.

Besides Date of Birth, Face Amount, Term, whether or not you use, or have used, Tobacco Products, etc., which is all straight forward data, you also need to make a choice about your Health Category. Some folks tend to overestimate the quality of their health. Others are not completely truthful about it hoping the insurance company will not catch on the existing heart condition, or similar health issue. The fact is that insurance companies, during the underwriting process, carefully review medical records and related information as a result of which they can establish the correct Health Category for the applicant, a very important element in determining the cost of life insurance. So it is better to be accurate and thorough which will save time to all involved.

In any event, as you may be aware, the Health Categories are, from top (least expensive premium) to bottom (most costly premium): Preferred Best, Preferred, Standard Plus and Standard.

So, while it may sound complicated to obtain a simple life insurance quote, it is not. And to make it even easier for you, one of our licensed agents can help you through the process. When you visit our website, www.insuranceglobe.net , check us by clicking About Us in the navigation menu.

We hope this article has been informative and look forward to working with you.

Life Insurance with Mitral Valve Prolapse - Today I got a call from a 64 year old male with a condition called Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP). He was looking for $200k of 20 year term life insurance. He wanted to know how he would be rated for his condition.

Mitral valve prolapse is one of the most common heart valve lesion there is. It affects both men and women and it has been estimated to occur in 5 – 15% of young women. Many with MVP have no symptoms. Others however can experience chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath or dizziness. The best way to diagnose MVP is through an echocardiogram.

For most who apply for life insurance with mitral valve prolapse, the prognosis is normal and therefore the condition is not rated. Sometimes applicants with MVP have mitral valve insufficiency and will be rated based on age and severity. If underlying causes are found or if serious complications/symptoms develop, the applicant will be rated and sometimes declined.

If you are looking for life insurance quotes with mitral valve prolapse, please call us with the answers to the following questions.

How long has the condition been present?

Have you had any of the following – chest pain, palpitations, trouble breathing, dizziness?

Is there a history of any other heart disease in addition to the mitral valve prolapse?

Has an echodchardiogram been done? If so, please submit a copy of the results

Are you on the any medications? If so, please give details

Have smoked cigarettes in the last 12 months?

Do you have any other major health problems?

Life Insurance With High Cholesterol - I recently got a call from a 47 year old male looking for life insurance quotes. He is a banker making $80,000/year and he has no life insurance. He has a wife and a 12 year old son. He wanted a quote for $1 million of 30 year term. One of his high school classmates recently died of a heart attack and that got him thinking. Then, he went to have a physical and found out that his blood cholesterol level was 300 and his hdl ratio was 7.0. Now this gentleman doesn’t want to go on cholesterol medication yet, he wants to try and lower his cholesterol blood level through exercise and dieting, but he doesn’t want to wait to get life insurance. He wants to see what he can get right now, because the death of his high school classmate reminded him that you never know when it’s your time.

Life Insurance Quotes With High Blood Cholesterol

Here were the top 7 quotes I found him with his cholesterol blood level of 300.

30 Year Term $1 million 47 year old male with high cholesterol in blood of 300

Pruco Life $3,615/yr

United of Omaha $4,522.50/yr

Transamerica $4,670/yr

SBLI $4,990/yr

Banner $5,095/yr

MetLife $5,149/yr

LBL $5,885/yr

If he starts taking cholesterol medication and is able to lower his cholesterol, then he can significantly lower his term life insurance rates. If he is successful in lowering his cholesterol blood level, we will replace his life insurance at a lower rate, but for now he decided to apply with Pruco Life for $3,615/yr.

If you would like us to shop your case, please don’t hesitate to call me, Victor Suris at 1-888-950-TERM (8376).
